about dr. boss

Grounded in clinical care, research, and healthcare delivery.

The conversation that happens in the exam room carries enormous weight for patients, clinicians, and the health systems built around them.

Dr. Boss researches what unfolds between patients, families, and clinicians during healthcare visits. Her work shows that the conversations clinicians and patients believe are happening often are not. Dr. Boss understands the challenges of the clinical visit from the other seats: as a practicing surgeon and a systems leader of quality, revenue cycle, and clinical operations. Her work addresses healthcare delivery at each level, from the conversation between doctor and patient to the policies, technology, and systems built around it.
